Bring Iowa Catholic Radio to parishes across the State

Your Role in Connecting People to Christ

Volunteer Ambassadors strengthen relationships between Iowa Catholic Radio and local parishes and communities by sharing information, offering support, and helping connect parish life with the mission of Catholic radio.

Time Commitment: about 3–5 hours per month.

The Ideal Volunteer

  • Friendly, reliable, and organized.

  • Comfortable communicating with parish staff and clergy.

  • Basic computer/email skills and willingness to learn.

  • Supportive of the mission of Iowa Catholic Radio.

Key Responsibilities

Stay Connected to Parishes

  • Check in with assigned parishes 1–2 times per month (in person or by email).

  • Build and maintain a current parish directory, including:

    • Pastor • Associate Pastor • Deacons

    • Office Manager • Grand Knight

Share Information & Updates

  • Stay current on Iowa Catholic Radio programming, events, and initiatives.

  • Send personalized emails so key parish leaders receive timely station updates.

  • Highlight opportunities and resources that support parish ministry and evangelization.

Support the Mission

  • Assist with Fall and Spring fundraisers by encouraging awareness and support.

  • Listen for parish needs and share how the station can help.

  • Pass along ideas—especially from rural parishes—on how we can better connect and serve.
